Territory Sales Representative
Location Lutz, Florida Date posted January 08, 2025 Job ID 18303- Meet or exceed yearly sales quotas assigned for business as well as monthly/yearly KPI’s.
- Maintain their own sales territory (sales targets, pipelines, and customers).
- Develop and maintain consistent forecasting accuracy and report forecasting updates to Manager.
- Follow up of sales leads for sales opportunities; cross selling opportunities, or opportunities that are assigned to outside sales for consultation on higher end solutions.
- Accurate management and recording of data generated from these efforts online, in SAP CRM, Outlook or spreadsheets as appropriate or as assigned.
- Assess local market trends around potential challenges and opportunities to grow business.
- Ensures all sales and customer issues are addressed and responded to in a timely and professional manner. Investigates and resolves customer problems and/or complaints ensuring customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain excellent relations with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- As part of developing territory strategies and plans: leverages internal resources, service specialists, commercial operations, marketing, and other tools at their disposal to support growth and strategic initiatives.
- Assists with sales communication to client/prospect base in assigned territories, e.g. templates for personalized mails, product guides, bulk mails, pitches, special quotes.
- Provides insight and direction while working with Manager to support territory alignment optimization with respect to accounts through Sales Territory Optimization strategies.
- Travel 25% of the time to drive sales through customer meetings, product demonstrations, seminars, vendor shows, conventions, etc.
- Strong sales drive. Proven ability to sell and consistently exceed sales quotas.
- Technical competency in product knowledge, product application and product positioning. Strong understanding of the consultative sales approach.
- Demonstrated attention to detail including excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Decision-making: Ability to analyze, synthesize, evaluate and make decisions.
- Good time management skills in implementing and executing successful plans of action that balance sales activities with customer needs and account development.
- Demonstrated ability to foster excellent relationships, trust and credibility at all levels of the organization, with the ability to create a partnership atmosphere with internal and external resources.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving competency in handling product issues, sales issues and customer issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills with personal computer software in a business environment. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required; SAP preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems and other sales-related software.
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, over the phone and in person at the appropriate level of the audience.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred with two to three years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience.
- Outbound call center experience and telesales skills training are preferred.
- Qualified candidate should be competitive and have the desire to excel in a fast-paced sales environment and the ability to connect with various personality types.
- Knowledge of Product Inspection equipment and experience within Food & Beverage industry is preferred.
