Territory Sales Representative

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Lab Territory Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving sales of products, software, and services through various communication channels including telephone, Microsoft Teams, email, and internet-based platforms. Key responsibilities include prospecting and closing new sales leads from diverse sources such as incoming quote requests and referrals from technicians and colleagues; providing clear technical advice, support, and solutions; preparing formal quotations with pricing for prospective customers; qualifying accounts and end-user information; and managing sales opportunities within the CRM system. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Develop deep expertise in Laboratory business product lines, software, and services to effectively communicate solutions that meet customer needs. 
  • Meet or exceed annual sales quotas and monthly/yearly KPIs. 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal sales and marketing applications, including CRM and ERP. 
  • Execute outbound sales campaigns and manage incoming customer inquiries regarding service and quotes. 
  • Follow up on sales leads, cross-selling opportunities, and coordinate with outside sales for complex solutions. 
  • Qualify sales leads by assessing customer needs, budget, decision makers, and purchase timeframe. 
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations, perform occasional sample testing, and participate in training. 
  • Monitor and respond to customer chat requests on MT.com to enhance customer experience. 
  • Use instrument trial programs to support customer sales engagement. 
  • Nurture leads through ongoing dialogue, progressing prospects through the sales cycle to close deals on products and services.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required 
  • Qualified candidate should be competitive and have the desire to excel in a fast-paced sales environment 
  • The ability to connect with various personality types 
  • Two to three years of any combination of customer service, sales, or marketing related experience; Inbound or outbound call center experience, and teleselling skills training, are desirable. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
