    Support Engineer Professional

    Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
    In your role as a Support Engineer Professional, you will have the opportunity to:
    • Provide technical support for assigned applications by doing the troubleshooting
    • Document the support cases worked on for further analysis purposes
    • Cooperate with Product Managers on customer support cases 
    • Assist in software products testing
    • Provide pre-sales support
    • Support market organisations in customer projects off- and on-site with assigned applications installations (proposing/ designing system architectures, implementation plans, configuration features, validation)
    • Train market organizations and end-customers
    • Write technical documentations e.g. knowledge base articles, description of a functionality etc
    • Create/ adapt training documentation/ video
    What You Need to Succeed
    Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
    Work Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience. 
    • Good knowledge of installing/ maintaining software needed for production process.
    • Good knowledge of root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.
    • Experience in technical support, engineering or similar.
    • Broad technical experience (advanced concepts of computer architecture, microservices, network, database, Windows Server OS, virtualizations, web services, load balancers, caching, etc.) in application support of large distributed client-server systems. 
    • Knowledge of setting up/operating container-based systems (Docker or Kubernetes) in a private or public cloud such as Microsoft Azure.
    • Depending on new technology requirements additional extended IT knowledge required.
    • Experience in international work environment.
    • Cross-departmental way of thinking and working, have a high degree of independence and customer orientation, are technically competent and have a friendly demeanor to successfully advise and support demanding customers.
    • Fluent communication skills in English are required.

    Nice to have skill / experience:
    • ITIL certification - Foundation Level
    • Good knowledge of validation of computer systems
    • Experience in laboratory or industrial environment, with knowledge of IT systems in laboratory/ production processes
    • Experience as field technician in industrial environment
