Application Specialist in Thermal Analysis – 100%
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland Date posted January 22, 2026 Job ID 21128- Measuring customer samples using thermal analysis products such as Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA), and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), and creating detailed application reports
- Providing worldwide hotline support and testing prototype devices
- Writing publications and developing engaging marketing materials, including handbooks, webinars, and other collateral to support product promotion and education
- Training sales staff and customers both remotely and on-site
- Providing global online expert support in special sales cases
- Travelling to support local sales teams on-site (about 15% worldwide travel)
- Master's degree, or preferably a Ph.D., in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
- Strong knowledge of and experience with thermal analysis techniques (DSC, TGA, TMA, and/or DMA) and their applications
- Several years of experience in an industrial or research environment
- Enjoying giving public presentations and conveying complex information
- Independent mindset and solution-oriented working and thinking style
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented approach
- Willingness to travel globally about 15%
- German language skills are beneficial
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English (spoken and written)
