Paint and Assembly Supervisor
Location Columbus, Ohio, United States Date posted June 05, 2025 Job ID 19596- Lead and motivate the team to achieve supply chain KPIs through consistent leadership, coaching, and development plans based on the MTMS Skills Matrix.
- Develop and implement training materials, standard work, and work instructions; manage team scheduling, including timecards, time off, and monthly rotation for cross-training.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance monitoring with training on fabrication techniques and safety, supported by regular reviews.
- Ensure fabrication processes meet quality and regulatory standards; maintain equipment with proper safety checks.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflows.
- Lead daily Tier 1 SQDC meetings, escalate issues to leadership, analyze production data, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Enforce safety procedures, champion lean manufacturing, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive team engagement in continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate resolution of fabrication process problems internally.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, supervision experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge in industrial paint application (Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AAMP) certifications are a plus)
- Demonstrated experience improving & leading a manufacturing team
- The motivation, adaptability, and professional qualities to work with multiple disciplines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead teams
- Sound analytical abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and manage multiple objectives with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to bring tasks through to completion
- Ability to gain and train on lean concepts aligned with the Mettler Toledo Production System
