Fabrication Supervisor
Location Columbus, Ohio, United States Date posted June 05, 2025 Job ID 19595- Lead, motivate, and coach the team to achieve supply chain metrics and KPIs, ensuring consistent, fair leadership and employee development using MTMS Skills Matrix.
- Develop, maintain, and implement training materials, standard work, and work instructions; plan monthly rotations to build a cross-trained, flexible team.
- Manage team administrative tasks including timecards, time off, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance monitoring with regular reviews and coaching on fabrication techniques and safety.
- Ensure fabrication processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements; maintain equipment with proper safety checks.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflows.
- Lead daily Tier 1 SQDC meetings and escalate issues through tiered meetings; analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement areas.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and champion lean manufacturing culture; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive team engagement in continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate internal resolution of fabrication process problems.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, supervision experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge on a wide range of fabrication equipment
- Demonstrated experience improving & leading a manufacturing team
- The motivation, adaptability, and professional qualities to work with multiple disciplines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead teams
- Sound analytical abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and manage multiple objectives with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to bring tasks through to completion
- Ability to gain and train on lean concepts aligned with the Mettler Toledo Production System
