Global Process Engineer for MES

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Global Process Engineer for its Columbus, Ohio location responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of MES solutions across our global manufacturing sites. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain global MES standards and best practices to ensure consistent implementation across all manufacturing facilities.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to design and implement MES architecture that aligns with business objectives.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend MES solutions that enhance productivity and quality.
  • Lead MES project initiatives from conception through implementation, including requirements gathering, system configuration, and user training.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES applications, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes.
  • Monitor and report on MES performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer Science or a similar education and at least 3 years of work experience in process engineering preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Should have a flair for IT and its increasing complexity.
  • Familiar with proactive leadership and teamwork with international teams and diverse cultures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience with MES software and integration with ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems and related technologies.
