Regional Market Manager - Laboratory

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Regional Market Manager for Southeast Asia (SEA) is responsible for driving market development and performance for the Liquid Handling Laboratory Instrumentation Strategic Business Unit (SBU) across the region. 

This role partners closely with Market Organizations (MOs) to define and execute growth strategies that increase market share, expand revenue, and strengthen our market presence in the liquid handling sector. 
  • Translate global SBU vision, value proposition, and strategy into actionable regional and country-level plans covering sales, marketing, and service activities for our liquid handling portfolio. 
  • Identify market opportunities and develop targeted strategies to drive sustainable growth across SEA. Collaborate with MOs to design and implement robust Go-to-Market (GTM) plans. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute successful product launches in collaboration with local teams. Support the development and localization of marketing campaigns and initiatives. 
  • Monitor and evaluate MO performance metrics to ensure alignment with revenue and growth targets.
  • Act as the primary liaison between SBU headquarters and SEA Market Organizations. Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including MO General Managers (GMs) and Business Area Managers (BAMs). 
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice exchange across MOs to maximize efficiency and impact.
  • Analyze regional market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. 
  • Provide structured feedback to the SBU on local requirements to guide product development, marketing programs, and training initiatives. 
  • Promote and ensure effective use of liquid handling value selling tools and marketing resources across MOs. Support the creation of high-impact marketing assets such as case studies, testimonials, and success stories.
  • Manage assigned travel and activity budgets to support market engagement, business reviews, and planning cycles. Conduct regular country visits for business reviews, pipeline development, and stakeholder alignment.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in market management, business development, sales, marketing, or product management. 
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and experience with CRM tools. 
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). 
  • Willingness to travel extensively within SEA and internationally. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a regional setting. 
  • Agile mindset with a strong focus on innovation, execution, and results. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with a customer-centric and opportunity-driven approach. 
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • High level of cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively across diverse markets.
Preferred: 
  • Experience in Life Sciences or laboratory-related industries. 
  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments and liquid handling solutions (Rainin value proposition is a plus). 
  • Experience within Mettler-Toledo (MO or SBU environment).
  • Familiarity with marketing communications and performance metrics (KPIs).
