FHSE Officer
Location Royston, England, United Kingdom Date posted March 24, 2026 Job ID 21667- HSE Leadership: Act as the first point of contact for internal staff and external government bodies/agencies regarding all HSE matters.
- Compliance & Risk: Manage all HSE legal requirements, stay updated on regulatory changes, and implement necessary actions.
- Incident Management: Lead accident/incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Facilities Management: Oversee hard and soft services (cleaning, security, waste, etc.) and manage service contracts such as LOLER, Fire, and Legionella.
- Security & Safety: Maintain site security standards (C-TPAT & Known Consignor) and manage radiation safety compliance.
- Contractor Management: Assess, plan, and supervise the activities of on-site contractors to ensure the safety of all parties.
- Training & Auditing: Organise HSE inductions and training for all staff and conduct regular internal site audits and inspections.
- Operations Support: Work closely with the operations team on infrastructure needs and manage premises risk planning/disaster recovery.
- Minimum of 5 years in an HSE role, including experience in hard and soft facilities management
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate and NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of corporate legal compliance in all Health & Safety areas and ISO 14001 awareness
- Computer literate with excellent communication skills at all levels
- Self-motivated individual who demonstrates sound judgement and thrives on initiative
