Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
In our Analytical Chemistry business unit, we design and produce innovative measuring instruments that have an excellent image and footprint in the market. In order to strengthen the Research and Development team in our newly built global headquarters close to Zurich, we are looking for a motivated, experienced and proactive Technical Requirements Engineer - 100% (all genders).

This role is based in our global operating headquarter in Zurich, Greifensee.  

Your previous experience as a requirements engineer or in a comparable function can be applied professionally with us. Exciting projects and innovative solutions require a high willingness to learn, initiative and the pleasure of dealing with new challenges. With your strong communication and moderation skills you will be the driver of the decision-taking process by acting as interface between project manager, product manager, hardware developers and testers. As manager and writer of the requirements you build up a stable base for our products.

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • Together with product management, project managers, and hardware developers, you will elaborate hardware requirements (mechanical and electronical aspects) for new products.
  • In self-organized manner you conduct requirements elicitation from stakeholders and align them between the different parties. You are the driver of the process to clarify the scope of hardware requirements.
  • You write the requirements in a measurable and comprehensible way and find a common acceptance through the review process. 
  • You organize and moderate review meetings and workshops. 
  • You manage the requirements with regard of traceability.
  • You maintain the requirements throughout the product life cycle.
  • You participate in the exchange of knowledge and development of RE processes within the requirements team.
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  • Higher degree in a scientific, engineering or related technical fields (FH / BSc, MSc)
  • Experience in technical specifications and requirements engineering (or as business analyst), ideally experience with requirements tools  
  • Experience in the laboratory and/or RnD environment is desirable  
  • Knowledge of Polarion® software is an advantage
  • Practical, good technical understanding and quick comprehension, very well self-organized
  • Strong communication & moderation, conceptual and analytical skills
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for the technical field and its specifics
  • Delighted by working in an international and dynamic environment
  • Fluent language skills in English and German
