Smart Sensor Embedded System Architect
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich Date posted December 18, 2024 Job ID 18230- You will become a key member of a customer-focused platform team that defines the future sensor system architecture for the Industrial division. This involves working with smart weighing sensors that are the foundation of the entire technology stack, where your expertise in signal processing, data management, plug-and-play operation, and analytics using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) will drive success
- You will have architectural responsibility for the cross-platform and cross-product integration of sensor systems, ensuring end-to-end connectivity up to the cloud
- You will design devices and solutions that meet all demands in terms of performance, modularity, flexibility, scalability, serviceability, and effectiveness
- You will maintain a strong customer focus by creating easy-to-use solutions
- You will construct condition monitoring, predictive, and prescriptive analytic algorithms
- You will define test concepts to verify system requirements, including performance verification
- You will work closely with the broader organization, collaborating with product managers, software development teams, and signal processing specialists, primarily in China, Switzerland, and Germany
- You hold an MSc or PhD in information technology or electrical engineering
- You have an innovation and creativity mindset and can cooperate in a larger platform team where creativity and collaboration are primary drivers
- You have experience in time-critical, embedded solutions with connectivity to higher-end systems and the cloud as an IIoT device
- You possess strong technical knowledge and experience in software architecture, project management, and leading an agile team
- You have basic knowledge of data science, advanced algorithmics, and machine learning in industrial applications
- You have programming skills in relevant languages, such as Python, C/C++, and Matlab.
- You can communicate effectively across different functional teams with diverse cultural backgrounds
- You have experience working in CI/CD and knowledge of DevOps and Agile (SAFe) frameworks
- You have experience working in industrial environments
- You are fluent in English, and knowledge of German is a significant advantage
- You have the capability to learn quickly, even if you don’t fulfill all of the above requirements
