Senior Corporate Development Manager

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
To further support our expanding efforts in our Corporate Development team we are looking for a Senior Corporate Development Manager 100% (all genders).

This position reports to the Head of Corporate Development & Sustainability and is located at our global operational headquarters in Greifensee, Zurich.

In this role, your responsibilities would include: 
  • You lead Corporate Development activities related to market, company, and technology assessments to identify growth opportunities and to shape the corporate and M&A strategy
  • You liaise and forge strong relationships with potential cooperation partners and acquisition targets to drive business expansion
  • You play a key role in M&A due diligence processes related to assessment of life sciences technologies, products and companies
  • You contribute to the annual and longer-term corporate strategic review process helping to shape the future direction of our company
  • You work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to drive and support a wide range of corporate development projects and activities
What You Need to Succeed

The following requirements are necessary for this role: 

  • You hold a life sciences university degree (Master or Ph.D.), an MBA degree is a plus
  • You have at least 5 years’ practical experience in biomolecules/bioprocessing (late-stage R&D, quality control or production) with a BioPharma manufacturer or CRO/CDMO
  • You gained at least 2 years’ experience in a similar corporate strategy role in global industrial corporation (BioPharma company or life sciences tools manufacturer) and/or with a leading strategy consulting firm
  • You have experience with life sciences technology and company scouting and assessments. Experience with M&A processes is a plus
  • You have strong analytical skills and are at ease dealing with large amounts of information and data
  • You are a good communicator (written and verbal) and networker and have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. German is a plus
  • You are willing to travel internationally up to 25%
