Software Developer (Precision Instruments)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory balances, we are looking for the Greifensee location, METTLER TOLEDO's global operational headquarters, for an enthusiastic Software Developer (Precision Instruments) 80% – 100% (all genders). 

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • As a dedicated and experienced software engineer, you will take responsibility for sub-areas of our application software in extensive product development projects for our main product lines
  • You will develop new software products of high quality for innovative, networked weighing solutions that are used in countless laboratories around the globe
  • You will help shape and align your area with the software architecture and ensure sustainable software design. 
  • You will act as a competent sparring partner for your team colleagues and participate in agile ceremonies
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role: 
  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Uni/ETH, FH) or comparable
  • You have least three years of professional experience in a software engineering environment, ideally in an industrial high-tech or within a product development environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Design (OOD) is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Linux OS knowledge and hands-on in Linux User space application development is a strong plus.
  • You are willing to learn or improve your .NET/C# skills or you have solid knowledge in these Technology.
  • You are a communicative personality, enjoy working in a well-coordinated team and can quickly acquire and pass on knowledge.
  • You speak English (knowledge of German is an advantage) and are motivated to work in an international environment.
  • You have experience with Scrum/SAFe
