Global Category Manager - Digital Transformation (all genders)
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland Date posted April 30, 2025 Job ID 19273- Establish, implement, and execute category strategies and portfolio optimization for IT hardware, software, and services in close collaboration with our Digital Business Solutions team
- Drive innovative approaches to transform existing business models and unlock untapped potential
- Lead procurement processes and complex negotiations for new deals and renewals, coordinating with business stakeholders and legal teams worldwide to optimize spending, mitigate risks, and ensure contractual flexibility
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with functional leaders (IT, Finance, Legal), General Managers, and global procurement and supply chain teams to align procurement with business objectives and drive results
- Manage supplier relationships and performance
- Leverage digital tools, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making processes, improve category and procurement strategies, and identify and execute cost-saving opportunities
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to the advancement of our procurement organization
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, IT engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in IT procurement, consulting, or key account management within a globally operating organization
- Extensive negotiation and contract management skills
- Proactive in challenging the status quo and drive change, with strong project management skills and proven capabilities in managing complex initiatives while effectively influencing stakeholders at all levels and across different cultures
- Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners across global businesses
- Ability to gain buy-in and influence key stakeholders at all levels in a global organization
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and AI to optimize processes and drive innovation
- Willingness to travel internationally as business needs arise (5%)
