Territory Sales Representative

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Territory Representative to grow sales of Product Inspection (PI) products and services within an assigned market. This role focuses on cross-selling to existing customers and creating new opportunities across both new and current accounts.

Most of the work is done by phone, with about 25% travel to meet key customers, attend vendor shows, and represent the business at conventions. You’ll also source leads from internal databases, market research, online channels, and other sources, while managing follow-up, tracking results, and preparing reports for leadership. This role reports to the Sales Director and is expected to meet or exceed sales goals. What you will do
  • Manage your territory, including pipeline, targets, and customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and provide regular updates to your manager.
  • Follow up on leads and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Record all sales activity accurately in CRM systems, Outlook, or spreadsheets.
  • Monitor local market trends to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Respond to customer issues quickly and professionally, resolving complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Partner with internal teams such as service specialists, commercial operations, and marketing to support territory growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Support client and prospect communications, including emails, product guides, quotes, and sales materials.
  • Work with your manager on territory alignment and account optimization strategies.
  • Travel up to 25% for customer meetings, product demos, seminars, vendor shows, and convention
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or marketing preferred.
  • Outbound call center experience and telesales training preferred.
  • Knowledge of Product Inspection equipment and experience in the Food & Beverage industry preferred.
  • Strong sales drive with a proven ability to meet and exceed quotas.
  • Solid product knowledge and understanding of consultative selling.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to balance sales activity, customer needs, and account growth.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across internal and external partners.
  • Sound judgment in resolving product, sales, and customer issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; SAP preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems and other sales software.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely by phone and in person.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
