Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer for its AM HUB location in Columbus, Ohio, responsible for the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes such as line efficiencies, material flow, and lean principals. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will work closely with Line Associates, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely launch of new products and maintenance of line projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Optimize work center layouts, material flow and processes to improve productivity and eliminate waste
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing culture on the shop floor
  • Provide root cause analysis support to eliminate disturbances
  • Improve product through-put by reducing overall lead time
  • Work with production teams to drive KPI improvement
  • Manage logistics of product launch and phase out activities
  • Monitor and improve operational processes
  • Provide daily work center tactical support 
  • Maintain knowledge of best-in-class processes for product configuration and assembly
  • Direct and implement lean and green activities to support MT Lean Culture
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical engineering or related field is preferred
  • Associate's degree in Industrial engineering or related field with 2 years of experience in a related field will be considered
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is desired
  • Lean certification is preferred
  • Must have strong analytical skills 
  • Must have a good understanding of lean concepts and proper use of lean tools to support good business decisions
