Industrial Engineer
Location Columbus, Ohio Date posted January 13, 2025 Job ID 18367 Pay Range $70,000-$100,000 base- Driving performance and quality improvements within the MTMS Product Operations Group.
- Optimizing work center layouts, material flows, and process improvement productivity and eliminate waste.
- Championing lean manufacturing culture on the shop floor.
- Providing root cause analysis support to drive disturbance elimination.
- Building and managing capacity models for work centers (equipment & labor).
- Improving product through-put by reducing overall lead times.
- Working with engineering to implement new products into production.
- Working with production teams to analyze and drive KPI improvement.
- Maintaining close interaction with SCM on managing inventory levels, plans for every part, and material flow.
- Working with all levels of the organization to improve first pass yield.
- Monitoring and improving operational processes.
- Designing, improving, and installing integrated systems to support operational excellence.
- Maintaining knowledge of best-in-class processes for manufacturing and assembly.
- Directing and implementing sustainability activities to support GreenMT culture.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 3-5 years' work experience in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to other Producing Organizations, machine suppliers, or vendors.
- Ability to work fully onsite at our Worthington location, Monday to Friday from 7am-4pm.
