Intern - Video Production
Location Columbia, Maryland, United States Date posted March 06, 2026 Job ID 21238 Pay Range $21 -$23- Complete a 10-12 week summer internship, working 30 hours per week
- Assist in the setup and operation of cinema cameras, professional lighting, and audio recording equipment for both video and still photography
- Post-Production: Execute the "finishing" phase of content creation, including: Rough and fine-cut editing (Adobe Premiere Pro) Motion graphics and basic animation (After Effects) Color correction and audio mixing Asset compression, exporting, and archiving
- Campaign Support: Help identify content gaps and create multimedia elements that align with specific marketing goals and brand standards
- Brand Compliance: Ensure all visuals meet corporate style guides while contributing creative ideas for new templates
- Facility Management: Maintain the Columbia eLab space, ensuring equipment is organized, inventoried, and the environment is "camera-ready."
- Event Execution: Support the technical setup for virtual events and webinars to maximize the value and reach of the eLab space
- Pursuing a degree in Digital Media, Video Production, or related field
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and a solid understanding of manual camera settings (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture)
- Strong skills in Premiere Pro and After Effects Understanding of signal flow (SDI, HDMI, NDI) and how video/audio sources interact in a live environment
- A knack for taking technical information and making it visually digestible
- Ability to manage a physical studio space and keep schedules on track
- Currently enrolled in a Film, Media, or Communications program (Science-related minors or interests are a plus)
