Software Test Engineer
Location Billerica, Massachusetts, United States Date posted June 06, 2025 Job ID 19581 Pay Range $85,000 - $120,000- Participating and contributing as part of a cross-functional manufacturing and product development team for bringing a product from conception into production.
- Writing scripts and software for automating tests, programming, updates, unit tracking, and calibration. Creating new test software modules based on calibration and test methodologies defined by development team.
- Designing and developing test programs and software tools that integrate with electromechanical test fixtures and systems.
- Working within the manufacturing engineering team to design and build test stations, improve existing test systems for efficiency and reliability, and managing data visualization/reporting.
- Maintaining and optimizing existing test programs to reduce test times, increase reliability, and reporting metrics.
- Participating in manufacturing team to deploy repeatable tests and helping debug hardware and software issues on the production floor.
- Writing excellent code documentation and keeping our codebase and hardware design repositories organized and manageable.
- Delivering effective and efficient testing solutions by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time and adhering to development and quality standards.
- Understanding and implementing measurement systems with traceability to NIST and other national standards to assure that analytical product specifications are met.
- Writing and maintaining test procedures for new and existing products/processes. Writing and updating test procedures for existing operations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering (with additional coding experience).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally.
- Ability to work at our Billerica, MA, location fully onsite.
- Knowledge of C# and C++ is required. Knowledge of LabView/TestStand, HTML, and Java is preferred.
