Field Application Specialist
Location Billerica, Massachusetts, United States Date posted September 25, 2026 Job ID 23246 Pay Range $85K to $110K not including $16K MBO target.- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical and application support to customers, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Channel Partners.
- Support equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct onsite customer training, technical seminars, and application demonstrations related to equipment and solutions.
- Serve as the technical subject-matter expert during customer visits, sales meetings, site walks and application discussions. Accompany RSMs, BDMs and Channel Partners on customer and sales visits to provide technical guidance and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate applications and supporting solution discussions.
- Assist sales teams and Channel Partners with key opportunities, projects, and customer application requirements. Troubleshoot customer application and equipment issues and provide timely technical support both onsite and remotely.
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of liquid analytical products and applications within the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.
- Build expertise in key industry applications and provide customers with practical technical recommendations and application support.
- Support aftermarket activities, including equipment startup, customer support, training and application-related assistance.
- Work closely with internal sales teams, customers and Channel Partners to ensure smooth equipment implementation and ongoing technical support. Travel extensively throughout the assigned New England territory, including approximately 70% overnight travel, to support customers and sales activities.
5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industry.
Direct Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry experience in the New England region.
Experience in technical/application support.
Experience providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
Familiarity with liquid analytical products and applications.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel extensively, including approximately 70% overnight travel.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with USP, BAI, measurement, pH and ORP applications.
Knowledge of CO₂ and TOC measurement/applications.
Experience with customer training, technical seminars and equipment startup.
Experience supporting sales teams or channel partners in technical sales activities.
