Lead- Software Test

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of test and automation engineers. Be the single point of contact.
  • Prepare estimations, test plans, and work breakdown structures.
  • Manage scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Ensure project delivery of manual testing and reusable code for test automation framework.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication rhythms and reports with stakeholders.
  • People management responsibilities as first level manager.
  • Support test design and code reviews as needed.
  • Define, and monitor processes for test automation as per organizational standards.
  • Help team to troubleshoot the issues. Perform root cause analysis for the major issues.
  • Ensure content and structure of test artifacts are documented and maintained.
  • Define and maintain needed Continuous integration and deployment infrastructure.
  • Share ideas to improve test methods.
  • Defect management and test control.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders across time zones.
  • Keep yourself and the team updated with latest industry developments.



What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications : Bachelor's / master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field. Graduates with Embedded testing / Test automation engineering background (using Python).

Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in testing domain, with a minimum of 4 years in test automation (predominantly Python) and 2+ years in a test management role.

Required skills:
  • Affinity for quality, attention to detail, a sense of how to implement robust tests.
  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing the requirements and developing tests.
  • Reviewing requirements, change requests to existing requirements and ensuring test coverage.
  • Perform effective regression analysis.
  • Strong test design and review skills, Manage defects and test execution.
  • Experience creating or maintaining Test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and code reviews; a passion for clean code.
  • Prior experience testing embedded devices using automated methods would be a plus.
  • Knowledge / exposure to ALM tools such as Azure DevOps and Git, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong exposure to Development life cycle and agile / scaled agile methodologies
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to the team. 
  • Willingness to work in an international team across time zones.
Nice to have skills:
  • Hands on experience with Squish and UI automation for QT/QML.
  • Knowledge on QT/QML modules
  • Prior experience with C# coding
  • Knowledge of Analytical weighing / Laboratory domain
