DG Solution Specialist f/m/d (ABAP/MDG)

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a Data Governance Solution Specialist (f/m/d) who will serve as a technical expert responsible for designing and implementing processes and solutions related to customer, sales, and marketing data management. The person in this role will be responsible for implementation, training, documentation, and communication of these processes within the Data Governance team, having a direct impact on maintaining high-quality master data at METTLER TOLEDO.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing applications using ABAP, SAP MDG, WebDynpro, HANA and other related technologies,
  • Applying design methodologies and tool sets; completing configuration and programming; designing and conducting development tests,
  • Taking part in the workshops and other meetings to understand the requirements, functional and technical scope of requested changes and the priorities on the business side,
  • Coordinating development tasks, attending team meetings, and troubleshooting issues across master data management areas,
  • Delivering hypercare and ongoing application maintenance support to users of systems managed by the DG Product Team(s),
  • Presenting strong ownership of driven changes, supporting delivery and making sure that change properly goes through its lifecycle,
  • Recommending system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of the SAP MDG and other related standard application offerings vs custom development.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field,
  • Minimum of 3 years' SAP ABAP experience,
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SD/MM or Data Governance, 
  • Knowledge of ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP MDG, WebDynpro,
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level),
  • Strong communication and presentation skills,
  • Structured, detailed working methodology; continuous improvement approach and process oriented,
  • Likes to work in a Global and fast moving environment.

The recruitment process consists of the following steps:
  • CV selection – we contact selected candidates
  • Phone screening with a recruiter (approx. 15 min)
  • Initial interview with the Manager or technical Expert (video conference, approx. 1 hour)
  • F2F meeting at the office, video conference, or decision on the selection of the candidate and making an offer.
