Development Engineer – Sensor System Design / Modeling and Algorithms

Process Analytics is a division within the METTLER TOLEDO Group and a leading provider of analytical measurement systems in chemical, pharma and related industries to improve safety and efficiency of production processes. Our high-quality products are developed and produced at the Urdorf site and sold worldwide by our own METTLER TOLEDO market organizations. 

Join our innovative team “New Technology Project” dedicated to developing cutting-edge sensor solutions for the Biotec market that drive the future of technology. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Developer of complex systems who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys tackling challenging problems. For the Urdorf location we are looking for a motivated Development Engineer – Sensor System Design / Modeling and Algorithms 100% (all genders).

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • You develop models and algorithms for signal processing and data analysis.
  • You collaborate with hardware and software engineers to optimize sensor integration.
  • You design, implement, and test embedded software modules.
  • You participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • You define and document system architecture and requirements.
  • You derive components and system specifications, take care of proper technical documentation.
  • You design verification plans, and support product verification, validation and debugging activities.
What You Need to Succeed
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
  • You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • You have experience with system engineering and requirements engineering, coupled with strong programming skills in C/C++ and experience in embedded systems development and programming. 
  • You have knowledge of data science and neural network implementation, along with an understanding of sensor technologies, ideally for biotechnology and embedded sensor applications. 
  • Experience in Linux kernel architecture is highly desired.
  • Furthermore you are fluent in English, and German is a huge advantage.
