Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) specializes in the design, development, and production of products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families. It plays a vital role in supporting the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit, which focuses on setting and executing the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The Floor Scale team is in need of a safety-conscious and detail-oriented material handler to manage the majority of the material handling within the value stream. This individual will be tasked with ensuring that the production team has access to all necessary materials, tools, and resources required to effectively complete their tasks. 

  • Navigate the facility effectively using our storage location system. 
  • Accurately receive inbound goods with meticulous attention to detail by recording Goods Receipt transactions in SAP. 
  • Collaborate with Tactical and Strategic Buyers to coordinate and manage critical deliveries. 
  • Unload supplier trucks and vans using a forklift. 
  • Address any supplier receiving issues in collaboration with Tactical Buyers. 
  • Daily scan and archive all packing slips into SAP. 
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance in conjunction with Tactical Buyers. 
  • Deliver and manage materials as required for production. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated work centers. 
  • Replenish materials using kanban, re-order points, or other notification methods. 
  • Document any disturbances encountered. 
  • Partner with the Inventory Manager to align our inventory with SAP by reporting material shortages and outages. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area at the end of each shift. 
  • Safely operate forklifts and cranes. 
  • Be willing to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed. 
  • Drive a box truck to pick up orders from other METTLER TOLEDO facilities when necessary.
  • Participate in facility 5S and Lean activities
  • Perform daily activities safely and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • Assist in identifying improvement opportunities
What You Need to Succeed
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to manage ones time
  • Ability to safely operate the following equipment
    •  Jib and overhead cranes
    • Forklift
    • Box truck
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to work from order schedules
  • Ability to follow directions and complete assignments
