Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Calgary, Alberta region. You will independently troubleshoot and repair industry-related products, perform calibrations and preventative maintenance as scheduled, and handle first-line customer service issues. Additionally, you will also take the lead to modernize, upgrade, and convert customers' existing equipment while ensuring accurate documentation and service reporting.
What you'll do:
  • Troubleshoot, install and repair all Mettler Toledo Products within Business Area.
  • Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.
  • Complete installs, repairs, calibrations, customer training, performance verifications and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Order, install, return parts and manage repair parts cycle time.
  • Participate in Service sales opportunities and assist with promoting service products.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Regional Service Leader, Senior FSTs and Support Specialists. 
  • Comply with ISO & Measurement Canada standards when required by the customer.
  • Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems.
  • Maintain productivity levels as determined by Regional Service Leader and in accordance with National standards.
What You Need to Succeed
  • 2-year college diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation Technology, or Electrical, along with experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or installation within the industrial electronics technology sector.
  • Interpret/read technical drawings and work instructions for the various products.
  • Experience working within a customer facing service environment.
  • Knowledge of Production packaging environments in the food industry.
  • Able to lift, transport and place test weights and equipment of up to 20 Kg (testing of equipment may require movement of up to 300Kg in 20 Kg increments).
  • Work flexible hours and provide on-call standby on a rotational basis.
  • Travel to the USA for training biannually
  • Willing to work overtime
