Mechanical Engineer I

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. 
This includes CPT, OPT, F-1, J-1, H-1B, or any other employment-based visa.

• Support new product development and improvement of existing products by delivering accurate and timely documentation, including 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, artwork, and specifications.

• Develop detailed manufacturing drawings following engineering principles and GD&T standards.

• Review Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for relevant details, assess impact of change, and manage the approval process with internal stakeholders. 

• Manage material and design data, revision control, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) using PLM tools.

• Interface with Project Management and Engineering teams to coordinate the production release of materials for New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout all phases of product realization, including prototype building, testing, design changes, quality assurance, production, and field service.

• Assist in developing and implementing drafting standards and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.

• Plan, create, and validate mechanical designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and serviceability.

• Research emerging technologies and concepts for product improvement and innovation projects. 
What You Need to Succeed
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
• 1 - 3 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

• Proficiency in CAD software. SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor preferred. 
• Experience creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.

• Basic knowledge of GD&T. 

• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools such as SAP, Autodesk Vault, and Teamcenter.
• Experience with revision control and engineering change management processes.

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
