Field Sales Representative - Industrial

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We are hiring a Field Sales Representative for the Madison, Wisconsin region. In this revenue-generating role, you will be responsible for selling a diverse range of industrial products, software, and services within the industrial weighing and automation/control markets, managing sales of both low- and high-end capital equipment through short and long sales cycles. You will proactively generate sales opportunities through your own prospecting efforts, follow up on qualified leads provided, and actively execute monthly business plans to target high-potential accounts and drive consistent sales growth.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop account penetration plans, create opportunities through one's own actions, and aggressively pursue sales goals.
  • Proactively engage assigned accounts offering a wide variety of solutions and services.
  • Develop, expand, and refresh relationships at assigned accounts through a network of MT employees, distribution partners, and other counterparts.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers, including virtual and in-person presentations.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to better support and react to expanding account demands.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, effectively defend pricing, and limit discounting to meet financial goals.
  • Routinely update sales pipeline, enter CRM changes timely, and stay ahead of administrative requirements.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial and Technology, or related fields, with relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience in industrial and production sectors
  • Experience with ERP and/or CRM systems, with SAP preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior groups and demonstrate interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with professional maturity, excellent communication, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Industrial experience in automation, process controls, or capital equipment is a plus
