Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The District Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the growth of METTLER TOLEDO Rainin products and services to customers within the assigned district. The position is responsible for the leadership and supervision of an assigned team of sales representatives. This position may have a Supervisor reporting to them with direct responsibility for a portion of the team. The primary responsibility is to drive strategic sales penetration within the district, defining account strategy and tactical execution for the team, and continually positioning Rainin for continued growth. The responsibilities are as follows:
  • Responsible for overall general knowledge and application of the business area’s product and service offerings.
  • Responsible for an in-depth knowledge of the internal processes relating to sales and service, including but not limited to SAP CRM for data input, extractions and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure that the team members have the required product, sales, and business system training necessary to perform their job responsibilities and to be compliant with established processes.
  • Provide support for Direct Sales in regards to assistance with quotations, handling customer correspondence and inquiries and with opportunity to order issues facilitation, including helping to resolve problems and customer complaints.
  • Responsible for actively driving revenue by managing planned and agreed to direct sales activities, including identifying, quoting, and closing transactional sales opportunities.
  • Provide monthly report on team’s activities and KPI’s
  • Responsible for duties associated with the qualification and management of account and contact information within SAP CRM.
  • Work with the other managers and teams to identify and recommend areas of improvement in those processes with the potential to gain sales productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage personnel issues and perform yearly performance evaluations.
  • Provide backup assistance to other team members as required.
To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring any employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. This includes CPT, OPT, F-1, J-1, H-1B, or any other employment-based visa. Please note that we do not provide relocation or housing assistance at this time.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in a Life Science area is preferred; or a related degree
  • A minimum of three years related experience and/or training in Life Sciences; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years sales management is required.
  • Proven ability to direct others in a multitask environment.
  • High energy level with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to utilize a database system to record and extract information.
