Warehouse Supervisor

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Warehouse Operations group receives and inspects product, maintains stock control, picks product and parts for specific customer orders, consolidates and packs deliveries, and completes shipment transactions. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations and supervising employees to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of inbound and outbound workflows. The responsibilities are as follows:
  • Manage and direct daily warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns) to meet service, accuracy, and cost targets.
  • Directly supervise warehouse employees: set expectations, assign work, coach performance, and ensure employees are trained and competent in required tasks.
  • Plan labor and workflow: create daily staffing/coverage plans, prioritize work, and adjust resources based on volume, staffing, and operational needs.
  • Drive a safe workplace: enforce safety rules and PPE, conduct safety huddles and audits, correct unsafe behaviors, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Own operational performance metrics (productivity, quality, on-time shipment, damages, inventory adjustments); analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain standards and compliance: ensure adherence to SOPs, scan compliance, shipping requirements, and handling of regulated materials (if applicable).
  • Use discretion and independent judgment to resolve operational issues, remove barriers, and implement process improvements with measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with HR on performance management, investigations, and corrective action; make recommendations and/or decisions regarding hiring, promotion, discipline, and termination consistent with Company practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners (Inventory Control, Transportation, Customer Service, Quality) to resolve issues and maintain service levels.
  • Maintain facility security and operational controls (e.g., opening/closing procedures) as a management responsibility.

What You Need to Succeed
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, in a warehouse environment
  • High School graduate with excellent math, reading, and writing ability. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team oriented environment
  • Basic computer knowledge / skills (SAP experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality record
  • Ability and drive to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to change priorities
  • Ability to work overtime when required (some weekends)
  • Ability to coach and develop employees
  • Understand and strictly adhere to all hazardous material shipping guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
