Technical Sales Specialist - Vehicle Scales

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a Technical Sales Specialist - Vehicle Scales at METTLER TOLEDO, focused on promoting our innovative solutions within the Ontario territory, particularly the Greater Toronto Area and the Southwest corridor. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will collaborate closely with your sales manager and technical application consultants to deliver exceptional value to our defined accounts. You will offer end-to-end consultation across the Vehicle Weighing Ecosystem. You'll be responsible for providing comprehensive services, including service contracts and individual services, alongside a full suite of products such as weigh bridges, sensor networks, software, automation solutions, and the necessary infrastructure tailored to each project's scope. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Work to meet annual targets by actively collaborating with sales manager in account selection process 
  • Travel throughout assigned territory both collaboratively with sales manager(s) and technical application consultants, and independently to call on regular and prospective customers 
  • Active Business Development focusing on building engagement plans to grow market share and expand territories 
  • Professionally manage and expand key accounts through key account management techniques helping customers increase efficiency and reduce waste in their weighing processes. 
  • Actively participate in bi-weekly pipeline reviews and penetration plan reviews. 
  • Actively work to understand our data systems, rules, and areas for improvement in order to improve the quality and completeness of data within the CRM 
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Any engineering education preferred along with recommended industrial sales experience. 
  • Must be highly organized, excel at planning and executing customer-facing events. 
  • Must be willing to travel. Overnight travel requirements for this position may be 20% - 30%. Co-travel with Technical Consultants and Sales Managers is expected. 
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S. 
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
