Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Buyer, you will coordinate procurement of goods and services including raw materials, equipment, and supplies. You will also manage vendor relationships, prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure quality and timely receipt of products. Additional responsibilities include: 
  • Preparing RFQs and purchase orders. 
  • Monitoring deliveries and expediting orders. 
  • Negotiating contracts and reviewing bids. 
  • Managing vendor performance and records. 
  • Resolving issues with defective goods. 
  • Maintaining inventory and purchasing systems. 
  • Supporting product development and special projects.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 
  • SAP experience preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills. 
  • Proficient with office and computer tools.

About Mettler Toledo
This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.
