Calibration Technician

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Calibration Technician, you will test, calibrate, and repair all classes, types, and sizes of weights for conformance to established standards using complex methods with exacting tolerances. Additional responsibilities will include: 
  • Working from production orders, verbal instructions, and written procedures to inspect, clean, adjust, and calibrate weights to specific class specifications. 
  • Using precision balances and weight standards to bring individual weights and sets within allowable tolerances. 
  • Cleaning, polishing, grinding, filling, or adding materials to adjust weights and sets for calibration. 
  • Using hand tools and computer programs to arrive at readings for weights and sets. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • 1+ years related experience with weight calibration. 
  • Experience with SAP CRM is helpful. 
  • Knowledge of metrology is a huge plus. 
  • Ability to work M-F 7am-3:30pm in Thorofare, NJ.

About Mettler Toledo
This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.
