Help Desk Technician
Location Tampa, Florida Date posted February 12, 2025 Job ID 18699- Identify, configure, and connect hardware components and devices.
- Explain various network types and connections, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and SOHO.
- Install and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot device and network issues effectively.
- Install and support Windows operating systems, including command-line and client support.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with PCs and mobile devices, including application security support.
- Identify security vulnerabilities in devices and implement protective measures.
- Utilize help desk ticketing systems (experience with ServiceNow is a plus).
- Monitor the Help Desk ticket queue and ensure timely resolution of P1, P2, and P3 tickets within established SLAs.
- Understand and maintain OS system configurations.
- Install and upgrade client systems as needed.
- Manage applications, files, and folder structures within Active Directory and SharePoint.
- Adhere to best practices for safety and environmental impact while maintaining professionalism in communication.
- Maintain organization, efficiency, and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, fostering positive interactions across the organization.
- Effectively manage multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Compile, maintain, and prepare various operational reports and logs.
- Ensure punctuality, consistency, and regular attendance.
- Identify and escalate priority issues as necessary.
- Proven ability to configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices.
- Knowledge of network security standards and protocols.
- Proficient in imaging PCs, installing software, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting Microsoft O365 applications.
- Expertise in mobile device troubleshooting and configuration, including iOS and Android platforms.
- High School degree or GED required
- CompTIA A+ Certification required
- CompTIA Sec+ preferred
- Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or similar preferred
