Lab Sales Specialist

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
  • Key Account Selling and Strategies Meet quarterly sales targets by managing key accounts and utilizing a variety of key account strategies. 
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, government, and clinical accounts to sustain and grow the Rainin liquid handling business. 
  • Sell liquid handling instruments, consumables, calibration services, and asset management products. 
  • Initiate and participate in onsite and online value-added events such as vendor shows, Good Pipetting Practice Seminars, Business Reviews, Service Reviews, Asset Assessments, and Product demonstrations. 
  • Maintain thorough understanding of pipetting techniques, applications, ergonomics, and care and maintenance. Promote products directly to key accounts. 
  • Draft account-specific marketing materials to support sales efforts. 
  • Actively seek e-commerce and paperless procurement solutions for key accounts. 
  • Provide cross-leads to other Mettler-Toledo business units. 
  • Identify new opportunities through cold-calling and penetration of new segments/accounts. 
  • Explore Rainin 360+ opportunities at accounts. 
  • Utilize SAP CRM to manage leads, accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, and orders. 
  • Compile prospective customer lists from internal marketing data and external sources such as business directories, industry advertisements, trade shows, and company initiatives. 
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with regular and prospective customers for order solicitation. 
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads through SAP CRM Manage territory and accounts daily using SAP CRM Report daily activities and field notes to the District Manager at least weekly. 
  • Submit and review monthly performance and sales reports with the District Manager. 
  • Provide staffing support for national and regional trade shows as requested. 
  • Maintain and enhance technical expertise. 
  • Utilize Rainin LMS training and MT Knowledge Hub resources to improve skills.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) preferably in a life sciences discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience, ideally within the laboratory instruments or life sciences industry. 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of liquid handling products, pipetting techniques, and laboratory workflows. 
  • Familiarity with calibration services and asset management solutions 
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, specifically SAP CRM, for managing sales processes and customer relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with key accounts, conduct presentations, and deliver product demonstrations. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers across diverse industries including pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, government, and clinical sectors. 
  • Skilled in negotiation and closing sales
