Account Manager Team Lead

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As a Team Lead, you will manage multiple Regional Account Managers and oversee the sales and distribution of OHAUS products across a defined region. Partnering with the Director of National Sales, you will assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing the careers of your team. Your focus will be on expanding market presence, fostering strong dealer relationships, and achieving sales and profitability targets. Key responsibilities will include: 
  • Supervising and supporting Regional Account Managers in local sales activities, vendor shows, and trainings 
  • Collaborating on performance evaluations and career progression initiatives 
  • Driving sales growth by increasing business with existing customers and securing new accounts 
  • Building industry, customer, and competitor knowledge to strategically create sales opportunities 
  • Traveling within your territory to engage with customers and distributor partners, delivering product demos and closing deals 
  • Managing sales quoting, contracts, and reporting, maintaining accurate data in SAP 
  • Organizing participation in trade shows and providing market insights to leadership 
  • Ensuring expense control within budget and solve customer issues effectively
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum five years of successful sales experience in life sciences or related fields. Additional 1+ years of leadership experience is preferred. Experience in laboratory, industrial, scientific, or educational markets preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (including occasional weekends) 
    • Your individual territory is the western region
    • You will be supporting 3 Regional Account Managers with quarterly travel in Northern California, Wisconsin, and Texas
  • Proficiency in MS Office and contact management software (SAP preferred) 
  • A team player with the ability to influence and coordinate across a sales channel team
