Technical Writer
Location Petaling Jaya, Selangor Date posted November 05, 2024 Job ID 17951- Documentation Development: Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is tailored for its intended audience, including user manuals, installation guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Content Editing: Review, revise, and edit content created by other team members to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, R&D, engineers, service, UX designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the technical aspects of our products and services.
- Content Management: Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect new product releases, updates, and changes.
- Standards & Guidelines: Develop and adhere to standardized templates, style guides, and content management practices to ensure uniformity and quality across all documentation.
- Research & Analysis: Research industry standards and best practices for technical documentation, integrating findings into your work to enhance quality and relevance.
- Training Materials: Create training materials and tutorials to assist users and staff in understanding and effectively using our products and services.
- Feedback Integration: Collect feedback from users and stakeholders and incorporate it into documentation improvements and updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, (Marketing) Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Technical Writer, preferably in the technology industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into clear and concise documentation.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, Jira, Schema or other content management systems.
- Experience with version control systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating visual aids such as diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts is a plus.
