- Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers capable of delivering high-quality technical components and services aligned with METTLER TOLEDO’s quality and compliance standards.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and purchase agreements to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure purchased materials meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct audits when necessary, and implement corrective actions to maintain supplier excellence.
- Manage procurement lifecycle including purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and resolving any supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
- Effectively utilize ERP systems (SAP) to streamline and manage all procurement activities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field.
- Proven experience as a technical buyer, preferably within manufacturing, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of technical product requirements, supplier qualification processes, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical abilities (root cause).
- Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to go extra mile.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.
