Mettler-Toledo Cargoscan is a world leader in developing and manufacturing dimensioning equipment and automatic data capture solutions for the Transport and Logistics Industry. 
Since 1985 CARGOSCAN has supplied dimensioning and data capture solutions to logistics companies all over the world. We design, develop and manufacture volume measurement instruments that scans three-dimensional items like small parcels on conveyor belt, freight on pallets etc. The instruments are based on visible laser time-of-flight scanners and represent the "gold standard" in our industry.

The position will be located in Oslo, Norway, and reports to the Head of Manufacturing & Supply Chain.

Production Planner

The Production Planner at METTLER TOLEDO Cargoscan plays a crucial role in ensuring that production planning, master data, and services meet the high quality and innovation standards that METTLER TOLEDO is known for. This role requires close collaboration with the Development, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure optimal efficiency, quality, and accuracy in planning and capacity utilization.

The role is divided between data management and production planning in SAP, with a primary focus on planning. The candidate will be responsible for managing data quality and governance in the SAP systems, proactively identifying and correcting data errors to reduce inconsistencies. You will define and enforce data standards, guidelines, and procedures in accordance with organizational rules, and document data definitions, ownership, and origin to ensure consistency across systems.

The role requires technical implementation skills using tools such as SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to manage data lifecycles. Collaboration with business units, development teams (PLM), and IT teams is crucial to align data processes with the organization's needs and resolve bottlenecks. 

Simultaneously, the candidate will plan and coordinate production orders and schedules to optimize production and planning processes (MRP), ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources. This includes demand forecasting, inventory level management, and coordination with supply chain and production teams to achieve production targets. 

Common requirements include experience with SAP applications (ECC, S/4HANA) and data management tools, a solid understanding of data governance and Master Data Management principles, analytical skills to analyze data quality metrics and reports, as well as functional knowledge in supply chain and production planning.


What You Need to Succeed
Skills:
  • Competency in SAP is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ERP systems related to production planning
  • Understanding of production and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to manage and analyze data in SAP environments
  • Strong oral and written skills in Norwegian and English

Personal qualities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and management
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability to work in manufacturing or production-oriented companies
  • Dedicated with high motivation
Education and experience:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in IT and/or ERP-related studies in supply chain management and planning (Relevant experience may compensate for education)
  • At least 2 years of experience in production planning
  • Minimum 3 years of total work experience
  • Experience from companies where production or manufacturing is part of the business is an advantage
