Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Inside Sales team. Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

The ideal candidate will use his/her extensive sales knowledge and experience to perform a variety of business management, analytical, and support functions including the following activities: 
  • Manage a team of inside sales representatives supporting the sales activities of our USA field-based sales representatives across three time zones.
  • Perform the inside sales role for a single district by engaging in planned direct sales and service activities including managing a customer database, processing new sales leads, answering incoming sales calls, performing outbound sales calls, qualifying and nurturing sales leads and partnering with other departments to resolve customer issues and inquiries.
  • Contribute to and support the territory plan in conjunction with all of the sales representatives within the assigned district.
  • Responsible for completing ShopRainin registration requests as per established SLAs
  • First level support for customer contacts on questions related to ShopRainin. 
  • Meet and/or exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly team and company sales targets.
  • Select, manage, coach (including via targeted 1:1 sessions), and develop a high-performing team of inside sales associates.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators of sales team.
  • Monitor communication and help manage proper sales technique, technical accuracy, and compliance with company policies.  
  • Provide feedback to associates and implement associated action plans.
  • Responsible for the training and development of Inside sales personnel. 
  • Determining individual training requirements and supervising the training and continued development of all new and existing team members.  
  • Partner with our off-site telemarketing resources by developing scripts, managing the lead process, training telemarketing team members, maintaining key performance indicator data and generally managing all communication with telemarketing. 
  • Assign qualified leads to Sales Reps including applicable information captured during the qualifying call. 
  • Assist Sales Reps with urgent administrative duties.  
  • Look for best practices and bring them to the forefront to benefit the team. 
  • Identify issues as they occur and take steps to resolve them either independently or with the support of the marketing manager.
  • Interview and train new sales representatives as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a Life Sciences discipline.
  • Proven success in high-volume sales roles in the Life Science industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Computer skills:  SAP CRM, Excel, Remote Meeting Tools, Email tools.
  • 1-3 years supervisory or management experience particularly in a sales or sales support function.
  • Aptitude for teamwork and customer focus.
