Field Service Technician – Industrial Weighing Products
Location Nutley, New Jersey, United States Date posted February 18, 2026 Job ID 21412 Pay Range $22 - $30 / hr- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years relevant experience with aptitude in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent technical support/installation experience.
- Associate's degree with a technical major preferred.
- Customer-facing or field service experience preferred; commercial experience desired.
- Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical repair, PC networking, and software configuration.
- 1-3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDL and Weights and Measures license; failure to do so may result in termination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary METTLER TOLEDO software.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 10-25% primarily by company vehicle or plane.
- Residence within service territory.
- Willingness to work overtime (10-25%) as needed.
- Exposure to workplace hazards including chemicals, traffic, machinery, dust, cold, and fumes.
- Must wear protective equipment when required.
- Position is safety sensitive and subject to DOT drug/alcohol testing and physical exams.
- Physical demands include frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and performing movements like crouching, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
