Senior Project Manager Industrialization
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich Date posted April 11, 2025 Job ID 19139- Overall project responsibility for setting up a competency center with several new production lines in Switzerland, enabling Mettler Toledo to manufacture Strain Gages Load Cells (SGLC) covering all necessary key technologies and production processes
- Lead the international and cross-functional project team that includes R&D, process engineering, equipment engineers, software engineers, SCM, quality and production experts. Setup, review and constantly improve the project setup.
- Oversee the project timeline and budget, ensuring everything stays on track
- Finalize the shopfloor construction project and ensure, interfaces between infrastructure/building and production lines are clarified and implemented
- Initiate, support and monitor hirings and trainings of all required personnel needed to execute the project and to implement operations
- Regular and pro-active engagement with Steering Committee as well as with other management representatives. Coordinate with internal customers, product owners, and with existing manufacturing facilities in order to align on project status, resources and product roadmap
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Material Science or a similar technical field
- You bring a strong experience in leading international industrialization projects (ideally in a similar industry), with a solid grasp of classic and agile project management (certifications are a plus)
- You have knowledge of process-oriented manufacturing of high-tech mechatronic products
- You have proven skills in stakeholder management and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- You are self-organized with an independent working attitude and high confidence in various cultural environments and outstanding planning skills
- You are open for international travel approx. 15%
- Fluent communication skills in English and German
