Data Scientist
Location Nänikon, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland Date posted January 30, 2026 Job ID 21130In this role, your responsibilities would include:
- Take ownership of evaluating new data science technologies and rapidly developing prototypes to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with product management, customers, and software development teams to refine and integrate AI/machine learning solutions into products.
- Lead and coordinate data science project stages, ensuring alignment with product needs and timely achievement of milestones.
- Gather market and user feedback to tailor solutions that meet real-world demands.
- Develop, test, and validate prototypes, maintaining involvement throughout the technology development lifecycle.
- Document projects thoroughly and prepare handovers for the New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) process.
- Master's or PhD degree in Data Science or a closely related field such as Physics or Software Science.
- Strong background in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with some industrial experience preferred.
- Proficient in software development, especially in Python, and experienced in data handling and relevant technical tools.
- Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach to rapid prototyping and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability and willingness to work in a global, cross-functional team environment, including occasional travel to locations such locations such as Dublin (Ireland) and Columbia (US).
- Flexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunities
- A 40-hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidays
