BDM / ASM - Food Segment and Software

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • The BDM will work with regional managers and field sales teams:
  • a) For developing business in Food segment for Industrial Weighing equipment's including Weighing Scales, Tank Scales, Conveyor Weighing with overall direct responsibility for achieving the Food Segment Business Goals.
  • b) For developing software business for Industrial and PI business divisions.
  • Define and successfully execute Food Segment and software Sales and marketing strategies. Achieve quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop, own/drive execution of plans for Food and software businesses in India for Industrial weighing.
  • Understand, notify and align local plans as per global and local trends impacting Indian Food Market
  • Identify Upcoming Projects & bid for business. Aggressively acquire/facilitate acquisition of business deals leveraging MT competence in food segment.
  • Participate in technical bids/Tenders for winning business deals.
  • Provide Market Intelligence to keep SBU ahead of Competition. Strategies with Market Manager/SBU Head.
  • Provide Competition Updates/Information, Competition Mapping - Products, Markets, Technology, Activities etc.,
  • Coordinate and work closely with Product Manager and Eng for Non-Std solutions as and when required.
  • Attend Industry Functions viz., Exhibitions, Seminars, Workshops etc., for market intelligence.
  • Work with marketing team to formulate and execute marketing plan for food segment and software products.
  • Manage all sales processes through CRM
  • Ensure all businesses are done within MT Guidelines
  • Coordinate with Regions for periodic Training for Regional Teams & Channels
  • Work closely with regions and business managers to formulate and execute activity plan (on site seminars, cluster seminars, GTCs, demos etc.)
  • Forecast Monthly Sales Vs Targets of Food segment business and SW business.
  • Drive the usage of sales tools among various sales channels.
What You Need to Succeed
Qualifications and Technical Skills:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical) with a Post -Graduate Degree in Sales and Marketing Management.

5-6 years' experience in Sales / Business Development / Food Segment Equipment Sales/ High Value Equipment Sales with a large Indian organization / MNC.  Understanding of IT environments (Networks, Integration to ERP/MES/WMS) Experience of developing Weighing and software Business in Food Industries would be an added advantage.
Strong Sales Acumen and knack for Business Development 
Key Account Management Capabilities, CRM Exposure would be an added advantage.
