Field Service Technician - Product Inspection Equipment

Location Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Date posted June 10, 2026 Job ID 22198 Pay Range $69,000 to $77,000 plus bonus
Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, calibration, certification, troubleshooting, and repairs of industry-related products at customer sites across the GTA. You will also configure and program interfaces between control devices, resolve first-line customer service issues, complete service documentation accurately, and lead equipment modernization and upgrade efforts. 
What You'll Do:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on X-Rays, Metal Detectors and Checkweighers at customer sites, following established procedures and safety standards. 
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure customer uptime requirements are met and that PM work at assigned accounts are completed on time
  • Complete system configuration and testing prior to delivery
  • Provide technical solutions consultant and application support to the customer and the sales force
  • Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems
  • Maintain your company vehicle and assigned parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner

What You Need to Succeed
  • A two-year college diploma in Engineering/Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumentation Technology OR equivalent education and experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting or technical installation in industrial electronics, or electromechanical technology industry.
  • Competent in using PCs, smartphones, and mobile applications, skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to learn proprietary METTLER TOLEDO software to review and update information.
  • Competent using basic troubleshooting tools including multimeter and the oscilloscope
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to lift, transport and place components and equipment up to 40 Kg
  • Occasional travel across Canada
  • Must be willing to work overtime, some weekends and holidays 
  • Must be available to work flexible hours
  • A clear record on the Driver's Abstract
  • Must be able to travel to the USA for training bi-annually
