Software Engineer
Location Manchester, England, United Kingdom Date posted May 28, 2026 Job ID 22203- Design, develop and maintain innovative software solutions that meet end user requirements, with a strong focus on integration and optimization within industrial electronic platforms.
- Elicit requirements from key stakeholders, generate software requirements and technical specification documents, seek clarification as and where necessary.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates & techniques.
- Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Software Architect and other team members.
- Identify and correct reported defects in collaboration with the Software Test Team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel as individual projects necessitate (minimal and infrequent).
- Perform duties in accordance with all Company policies, procedures and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in electronics, physics or another relevant engineering related degree. (Significant industry experience considered in exceptional cases, e.g. Computer Sciences)
- Experienced in analysing situations, summarising issues and providing effective solutions to problems and design challenges
- Actively engages and respects the diverse contributions of the team, partners or networks
- Hands-on experience of developing commercial object-oriented applications using a C-like language
- Experience of developing for a resource-constrained embedded platform
- Experience of developing for HMI based systems
- Experience of software development using Microsoft Visual Studio & git version control
