Repair Technician Level l (M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
Location Lutz, Florida Date posted September 16, 2024 Job ID 17518- Providing factory repair services of Mettler-Toledo X-Ray systems from external customers and company owned stock equipment used for rentals, trade shows and demos.
- Refurbishing of X-Ray generators, X-Ray detectors and Industrial computers as part of our exchange program.
- Follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, work instructions, processes, and procedures
- Construct, refurbish and repair product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelines
- Inspect, repair and test Mettler-Toledo systems R20, R40, X33 and X36
- Refurbish and Test of X-Ray Generators, HiQ and HiGain Detectors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area to ensure maximum efficiency
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Accurately track and record time spent on projects
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of safe practices with electricity and the use of hand and power tools
- Attention to detail and good troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Quality focused
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
- Able to be a self-starter and to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie Stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time
**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**
- High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
- 2-year degree in electronics preferred or a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in similar or related position
