Product Engineer
Location Columbus, Ohio, United States Date posted February 26, 2026 Job ID 21425- Design, develop, and improve products, systems, and processes for heavy industrial weighing applications.
- Lead and support New Product Development (NPD) and Engineer-to-Order (EtO) projects.
- Collaborate with fabricators, vendors, and internal teams to uphold quality, manufacturability, and performance standards.
- Develop complete design documentation—drawings, BOMs, user guides, and manufacturing support files.
- Oversee testing, compliance, and project deliverables using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Support marketing and field service teams with technical insights and customized solutions.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement in design and production workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Agricultural, or Structural Engineering (MBA preferred but not required).
- Strong background in mechanical design, fabrication, or industrial product development.
- Skilled in CAD (e.g., Creo), structural/weldment design, basic electrical integration, and testing.
- Experience creating fixturing, material handling, or manufacturing solutions for large assemblies.
- Excellent communication, project management, and teamwork skills in cross-functional settings.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with Teamcenter, SAP, RPA, or UiPath is a plus.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Travel: Less than 10%, domestic and international.
- Responsibility mix: 75% Engineer-to-Order support, 10% New Product Development, 10% Maintenance-of-Line, 5% manufacturing support.
