Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As Manager - Software Development, for our division in Coimbatore, India you will act as a Program Delivery Manager and lead a team of experienced Development and Test Automation engineers in supporting the Research & Development in software design and development projects.

In your role as a Manager - Software Development, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Understand stakeholders’ needs and priorities for software program development and delivery.
  • Prioritize work across projects and manage the project portfolio.
  • Apply an entrepreneurial thinking and be the single point of contact for program delivery.
  • Create sense of ownership, quality in the team and enable program deliveries.
  • Demonstrate ownership in estimation, reviews, escalation handling, stakeholder communication, project portfolio tracking & reporting. 
  • Achieve cost, time and quality goals defined for project portfolio. 
  • Accountable for managing all aspects of risk, issues, and dependencies in the portfolio.
  • Measure and improve project(s) performance indicators using appropriate tools and techniques. 
  • Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills. 
  • Manage development and test engineers and ensure schedule and quality commitments are met.
  • Attract, retain, and build top-notch engineering, technical and functional talent in the organization.
  • Lead and mentor team through complex customer requirement implementations.
  • Enable continuous learning and improvement by practicing Lean management and agile principles.
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership, communication and coaching skill
  • Act as the SWDC program delivery manager towards the business units
  • Works closely with multiple stakeholders including Business Owners, Product Owners, Development Teams, and Management teams to derive requirements and take decisions to enable successful program delivery. 
  • Emphasize engineering best practices, delivering value, and data driven decision making.
  • Ensure that standard process is followed in requirement, development, testing and deployment phases in the program. 
  • Focus on delivering business value from the overall program.
  • Keep yourself and the team updated with latest industry developments.

What You Need to Succeed
Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science / Electronics or related field.
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering or Software Development Manager role
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Good understanding about requirements management process and knowledge about the requirements management tools
  • Good understanding about Architecture and design of Software products
  • Working experience in desktop and web-based application development
  • Strong knowledge on metrics-based management, stakeholder, and Cost management
  • Working experience in Scrum, Scaled Agile, Rapid prototyping, Iterative development.
  • Good understand about Risk and dependency management. 
  • Close working experience with business teams / customers for at least 5 years
  • Experience in leading project team with good understanding about .NET / C#, SQL Server, Windows server technologies. 
  • Good understanding about API development/maintenance, Certificate management, 
  • Good knowledge on tools knowledge usage – AzureDevOps, Visual Studio, NDepend, JFrog Artifactory and Virtualization
  • Good understanding about DevOps, CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience working with code repositories such as GitHub / TFS-GIT
  • Experience in working with Global / distributed team. 

Nice to have skill / experience:
  • Working experience in/with international companies for at least 5 years
  • Knowledge about Pipette, Service process, MCP balances, RFID tag structure,
  • Network and server admin knowledge
  • Managing 24x7 operations team
  • Knowledge of Static application security testing (SAST) using SonarQube, SonarLint.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool.
  • Knowledge of Software composition analysis (SCA) using Debricked.
  • Cloud exposure or work experience (Azure/AWS/Google).
