Industrial Field Sales Representative - Cincinnati

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

This is a revenue generating position where one is responsible for the selling a wide variety of industrial products, software, and services in the industrial weighing and automation/control markets. It requires the ability to effectively sell a comprehensive portfolio consisting of low- and high-end capital equipment with short- and long-term sales cycles. Must facilitate sales in both transactional and consultative sales approaches and must be effectively applied in single and multi-level selling situations. Heavy emphasis is placed on self-generating opportunities through prospecting initiatives and actions taken by this applicant. Additionally, qualified leads will be provided for follow-up within your area of responsibility. Monthly business plan development and review is fundamental in appropriately targeting high potential accounts within the territory. It is required one takes action to execute these plans, align on multiple resources provided, in order to see sales growth. What you will do

  • Achievement of assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
  • Develop and maintain active sales pipeline of designated solutions.
  • Utilize company resources to create action plans, prepare for sales activities and proactively generate sales opportunities
  • Understand customer's needs and requirements to create value added solutions of products, software and services
  • Responsible for coordinating closely with other MT representatives and field service groups on a regular basis
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential and existing customers. 
  • Use of MT-provided CRM, communications tools and other technology in accord with corporate requirements
  • Negotiate T&C's, effectively defend pricing, and limit discounting to meet financial goals
  • Other duties may be assigned

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Industrial Technology, Marketing or in similar disciplines 
  • Sales experience (manufacturing spaces or B2B preferred) with a proven track record.
  • Excellence in interpersonal/communication skills, professional maturity, and the ability to work with minimum supervision - a self-starter with strong organization, prioritization and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Office software, have solid organizational skills and professional image. 
  • Experience with CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline is a plus
  • Industrial experience with automation, process controls or capital equipment is a plus
