Software Manager

- Oversee a Software team supporting the Mettler-Toledo Safeline Xray globally including customer facing Application Software, diagnostics and test.
- Ensure that implementation of the Software satisfies the product specifications.
- Create a positive team culture that is aligned with the Mettler-Toledo culture.
- Collaborate heavily with remote sites working on unique customer solutions that require Software support.
- Lead teams to build robust and innovative solutions for user facing applications driving Xray inspection equipment.
- Guide software development and testing activities within your teams.
- Provide strong interface to internal stakeholders of the team including Sales, Service, Quality, & Production teams to relay relevant new knowledge gained.
- Support the Training Team with developing material for new products and features.
- Provide input to development projects based on lessons learned in field issues.
- Support the Applications and Technical Author teams with input to new User and Technical Documentation.
- Responsible for software packages, production data management tools and embedded device FW.
- Significant hands on and commercial experience with C++, C#, .NET, SQL, TypeScript, Python or similar.
- Commercial experience of leading, managing and directing software teams (at least 3 years).
- Degree educated in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and working in an Agile development process.
- Experience in real time embedded system development.
- Experience of working within the framework of a product development methodology and understanding of project management and project team structures required to deliver complex engineering solutions.
- Ability to convey complex information in a clear way to stakeholders and development teams.
- Experience of IT networking of machinery.
